Vince Wilfork visiting the Texans

Longtime New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork is visiting with the Houston Texans on Sunday night, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.

The Texans' interest in Wilfork has been anticipated, as there are several staff members with Patriots ties, starting with head coach Bill O'Brien. In addition, defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel, linebackers coach Mike Vrabel, quarterbacks coach George Godsey and defensive assistant Anthony Pleasant are on Houston's staff.

Familiarity is something that figures to be important to Wilfork as he considers where to play in 2015. The door remains open for a return to New England.
