It looked significant and I'd be surprised to see Tyms back on the field any time soon. ... Receiver Julian Edelman took part in early warmups before departing to the Fieldhouse for the remainder of the practice. He seemed to come up a bit gimpy late in Sunday's practice. ... Cornerback Malcolm Butler intercepted Tom Brady over the middle, as it was Brady's first pick of camp. ... Rookie tight end A.J. Derby, the sixth-round pick from Arkansas, was waived/injured. ... The club signed four players to the back-end of their roster -- linebackers L.J. Fort and Cameron Gordon, fullback Eric Kettani and defensive lineman A.J. Pataiali'l. ... McGinest addressed the team after practice. ... Before practice, Bill Belichick had detailed what he appreciated about McGinest's career. ... Tight end Rob Gronkowski received a $4 million bonus from the team as part of a restructured contract.
