Patriots' Bill Belichick on his swollen left eye: 'I think I'll live'

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick arrived for his Tuesday morning news conference with a swollen left eye, which didn't seem to concern him much.

"I think I'll live," he said when asked if he was OK.

Thus, don't expect Belichick to be landing on the injury report anytime soon.

"I don't think we need to list the coaches on the injury report," Belichick said with a straight face. "But I'm sure if we're required to do it, we'll do it."

That sparked some laughter from the assembled media, before Belichick apologized to the reporter who asked the question, adding: "I'm sure that's a big disappointment to you."
