Obama touches nerve by joking about Youk

Red Sox fans are still a little sensitive about cutting ties with longtime favorite Kevin Youkilis. Just ask President Obama.

Appearing at a fundraiser at Boston's Symphony Hall, Obama drew a barrage of boos when he said, "Boston, I just want to say thank you for Youkilis."

Youkilis was traded to Obama's favorite team, the Chicago White Sox, on Sunday.

"I'm just saying, he had to change the color of his socks," Obama said with a chuckle. "I didn't think I'd get any boos out of here," he said with a grin to supporters, who each paid $250 or more to attend. "I guess I should not have brought up baseball. My mistake, my mistake. You've got to know your crowd."
