Rick Peterson will interview for the Red Sox's opening at pitching coach, according to multiple reports.

The Sox asked for and were granted permission to interview Peterson by the Orioles, who employed him as their director of pitching development last season. The Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo was first to report the news Friday night, and other media outlets, including the Baltimore Sun, have since confirmed.

Peterson has experience as a big league pitching coach, having previously served in that capacity for the A's, Mets and Brewers.
