BRADENTON, Fla. -- The Red Sox medical staff will continue to administer the anti-inflammatory medication Toradol, said manager John Farrell, stressing that it is a “perfectly legal” substance.
“That is the protocol going forward, when it is recommended by a physician,’’ Farrell told ESPNBoston.com on Sunday in Fort Myers.
What will change, it appears, is the routine use of the medication by pitchers who had habitually been injected with the medication on days they were starting.
“We have met with individuals who have used it more than just on occasion,’’ Farrell said. “And that will be much less than before.’’
