FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Boston Red Sox manager Terry Francona today announced the starting pitchers for the first two games of Grapefruit League action.
Josh Beckett will start against the Minnesota Twins on Sunday night, and Clay Buchholz will follow in that game. On Monday, Daisuke Matsuzaka will get the nod against the Twins.
“It’s the Mayor’s Cup, so we’re going to stack it a little bit,” Francona said with a laugh.
