FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Patriots receiver Randy Moss, who missed Wednesday's practice with an illness, was back on the practice field Thursday for the team's full-pads workout.
In addition to Moss, receiver Julian Edelman also returned to practice for the first time since injuring his foot Aug. 19 in a preseason game against the Falcons.
Running back Laurence Maroney (thigh) also returned to practice.
The returns of Moss, Edelman and Maroney are obviously a boost for the Patriots as they prepare for Sunday's season opener against the Bengals. Injuries have been a big part of the team's preseason, but it looks like the club is getting healthier as kickoff approaches.
Meanwhile, cornerback Terrence Wheatley (foot) and offensive lineman Nick Kaczur (back) remain out of practice.
