Bills promote DE Bryan Johnson from practice squad

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Set to arrive in South Florida on Wednesday evening, the Buffalo Bills made a minor roster move earlier in the day, promoting defensive end Bryan Johnson from the practice squad.

Johnson, an undrafted rookie, is likely to be active for Thursday night's game against the Miami Dolphins in place of an injured Jarius Wynn.

The West Texas A&M product is 6-foot-4, 250 pounds and a developmental project as a pass-rusher.

The Bills waived safety Jerome Couplin on Tuesday to open a spot on the 53-man roster.
