Bills lean on Fred Jackson for 61 snaps in Denver

Taking a closer look at offensive snaps played by the Buffalo Bills in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Denver Broncos:

Kyle Orton -- 80 of 80

EJ Manuel -- 0 of 80

Running backs:

Fred Jackson -- 61 of 80

Bryce Brown -- 14 of 80

Anthony Dixon -- 6 of 80

Quick-hit thoughts: The Bills have relied much more on Jackson over the past two weeks than in the games prior, when he was hampered by a groin injury. The passing game, especially involving screens, was more of the focus Sunday with Jackson. He finished with eight carries for 35 yards, while Dixon and Brown added three carries apiece. Dixon felt after the game that the Bills could have run the ball better.

Frank Summers -- 0 of 80 (inactive)

Quick-hit thoughts: Yet another game without Summers for the Bills after his role appeared secure for the first half of the season. The addition of tight end MarQueis Gray plays into this; Gray has the versatility to play H-back and fullback.

Wide receivers:

Sammy Watkins -- 72 of 80

Robert Woods -- 65 of 80

Chris Hogan -- 61 of 80

Marquise Goodwin -- 17 of 80

Marcus Easley -- 0 of 80 (special teams only)

Marcus Thigpen -- 0 of 80 (special teams only)

Mike Williams -- 0 of 80 (injured/inactive)

Quick-hit thoughts: Williams' situation was solved Monday when he was waived/injured by the Bills. Otherwise, the top of this group is set. The question next week will be whether the Bills can have Goodwin, Thigpen and new addition Deonte Thompson all active.

Tight ends:

Scott Chandler -- 68 of 80

MarQueis Gray -- 19 of 80

Lee Smith -- 17 of 80

Chris Gragg -- 0 of 80 (injured/inactive)

Quick-hit thoughts: The Bills have avoided putting Gragg on injured reserve to this point, a sign he could return sometime over the remaining three games. When he does, what's his role? Gray played well in his debut last week against Cleveland and saw more snaps than Smith in Denver.

Offensive linemen:

LT Cordy Glenn -- 80 of 80

LG Kraig Urbik -- 80 of 80

C Eric Wood -- 80 of 80

RG Erik Pears -- 80 of 80

RT Seantrel Henderson -- 80 of 80

Chris Hairston -- 0 of 80 (special teams only)

Cyril Richardson -- 0 of 80 (special teams only)

Cyrus Kouandjio -- 0 of 80 (inactive)

Quick-hit thoughts: No surprises. Not the best game for this line, which allowed four sacks and committed five penalties -- two false starts on Glenn, holding on Urbik, holding on Pears and unnecessary roughness on Pears.
