Searcy was in uniform for practice each day this week, but was listed as a non-participant Wednesday and Friday. He was limited on Thursday.
Second-year safety Duke Williams will start in Searcy's place.
"Duke's played a bunch. He's played against New England and other high-powered offenses," coach Doug Marrone said. "He's been there before. It's time for him to step up, and he'll have a great opportunity."
