Veteran guard Jahri Evans visiting Bills on Monday

Free-agent guard Jahri Evans, who was released by the New Orleans Saints last month, is visiting the Buffalo Bills on Monday, a source confirmed to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Caplan.

Evans tweeted a photo Monday afternoon of Lake Erie from downtown Buffalo.

Evans, 32, would potentially be a fall-back plan if the Bills cannot re-sign guard Richie Incognito. General manager Doug Whaley said last week the team is working "diligently" to re-sign Incognito, who is also 32 but coming off a Pro Bowl season. The Buffalo News reported last week that the Bills "lowballed" Incognito when they met with his agents at the NFL combine last month.

The Buffalo News reported last spring that the Bills attempted to trade for Evans when he was a member of the New Orleans Saints.

The Bills have about $10.6 million in cap space, according to ESPN Stats & Information figures and adjusted salary-cap data released Monday by the NFLPA.
