Just how crazy is the AFC this season?
At 4-7, the Buffalo Bills are still in the mix for a playoff spot. They're part of a glut of four- and five-win teams in their conference, behind just five teams with winning records in the AFC.
To have any realistic shot at making the playoffs, the Bills will most likely need to sweep their remaining schedule. But as ESPN national NFL writer Kevin Seifert points out Monday, the Bills have the NFL's easiest remaining schedule, as their final five opponents have a combined winning percentage of .347:
Dec. 1 -- vs. 2-8 Falcons (in Toronto)
Dec. 8 -- at 2-8 Buccaneers
Dec. 15 -- at 1-9 Jaguars
Dec. 22 -- vs. 5-5 Dolphins
Dec. 29 -- at 7-2 Patriots
Of course, if the Bills don't make the playoffs, their focus will turn to next season's draft.
At the moment, Seifert points out, the Bills own the seventh overall pick in the 2014 draft.
And they're still in the playoff hunt.
