Laying out each team's Mount Rushmore and ranking the quartets

DETROIT -- The voting for the Franchise Four has ended, with the results to be announced at the All-Star Game in July. One of my editors, Brendan Roberts, had a really cool idea of not only picking a Franchise Four for each team but also matching up each team's four with Mount Rushmore. In other words, who is the George Washington, who is the Abraham Lincoln, who is the Thomas Jefferson, and who is the Theodore Roosevelt?

Well, at about the time I tried to figure out whether Gabby Hartnett was Roosevelt or Jefferson, I lost some steam. But it's been interesting going through this process to come up with each team's four players and to compare the quartet of each franchise.

So I picked my own four for each club, and then ranked the 30 sets of four.
