Brandon Marshall, Martellus Bennett return to practice

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chicago Bears receiver Brandon Marshall (ankle) and tight end Martellus Bennett (ribs) returned to practice Thursday at Halas Hall and participated in a limited capacity.

It’s expected both will be available for Sunday’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings

In other injury news, linebacker Darryl Sharpton (hamstring) practiced on a limited basis, while the club held out guard Eben Britton (illness), right tackle Jordan Mills (ribs), cornerback Terrance Mitchell (illness), receiver Josh Morgan (shoulder) and defensive end Trevor Scott (knee).

Cornerback Tim Jennings (knee) returned to practice on Thursday along with defensive end Cornelius Washington (illness).

Mills has missed two consecutive days of practice, and there’s a chance his availability for Sunday’s matchup could be in jeopardy. If Mills is forced to miss time, the Bears would likely play Michael Ola at right tackle.

“It’s day to day,” Bears coach Marc Trestman said of Mills. “ It’s muscular around the rib. That’s really where he’s at, day to day.”
