Kyle Long only Bear to make All-Pro team

The Chicago Bears landed only one player, second-year guard Kyle Long, on the Associated Press’ All-Pro team on Friday. Long was also the only member of the team to be named to the Pro Bowl.

Long received five votes to earn second-team recognition along with Green Bay guard Josh Sitton.

Long, who became the first Bears offensive player to receive Pro Bowl honors in each of his first two seasons, started 15 games for the club and didn’t allow a sack, according to STATS,LLC.

A 2013 first-round pick, Long is the first Bears player since Devin Hester (2006-07) to be named to the Pro Bowl in his first year seasons and the franchise’s 10th player to accomplish the feat overall.
