Prospect Watch: Clendening leading IceHogs

Here’s an update on how some of the Chicago Blackhawks’ prospects are doing this season:

Adam Clendening, defenseman, Rockford IceHogs (AHL)

Clendening leads the IceHogs and is third among the AHL’s defensemen with 23 points. He has four goals, 19 assists and a plus-three rating on the season. He’s currently on a four-game points streak and has five points during that span.

Dillon Fournier, defenseman, Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (QMJHL)

Fournier has one goal and three assists over his last three games. He has 10 goals, 17 assists and a plus-17 rating in 32 games this season. He leads the Huskies’ defensemen and seventh in the league among defensemen with 27 points.

Terry Broadhurst, forward, Rockford IceHogs (AHL)

Broadhurst has moved into second place on the IceHogs with 19 points. He has points in three of his last four games.

Brandon Pirri, forward, Rockford IceHogs (AHL)

Pirri has accumulated one goal and four assists in five games since being reassigned from the Blackhawks. He’s had two games of two assists.

Mac Carruth, goaltender, Rockford IceHogs (AHL)

Carruth has moved into the IceHogs’ No. 1 goalie spot with Antti Raanta and Kent Simpson being recalled to the Blackhawks. Carruth is 2-0-0 with a 3.36 goals-against average and .870 save percentage in three games in December. He’s 2-1-0 with a 4.09 goals-against average and .852 save percentage in four games with the IceHogs this season.

Luke Johnson, forward, North Dakota (NCAA)

Johnson, a freshman, had a goal and an assist in North Dakota’s two wins over Northern Michigan last weekend. He has four goals and six assists on the season and is tied for second on the team with 10 points.

Michael Paliotta, defenseman, Vermont (NCAA)

Paliotta, a junior, had his five-game points streak snapped against Northeastern on Tuesday. He had extended his streak to five games with a goal and an assist against St. Lawrence on Saturday. He has two goals and six assists on the season.

Travis Brown, defenseman, Moose Jaw Warriors (WHL)

Brown had two assists in the Warriors’ 4-3 win over the Prince Albert Raiders on Tuesday. He has nine goals, 27 assists and a minus-24 rating this season.
