Blackhawks recall Pirri from IceHogs

The Chicago Blackhawks recalled forward Brandon Pirri from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL on Monday.

Pirri is returning to the Blackhawks for the second time this season. He was recalled by the Blackhawks on Oct. 21 and had six goals and five assists in 24 games. He was reassigned to the IceHogs on Dec. 4.

Pirri is coming off a lower-body injury which kept him out of the IceHogs' lineup for three-plus weeks. He returned to game action on Friday. He had one goal and two assists in three games over the weekend.

Pirri has four goals and nine assists in 16 games with the IceHogs this season. He was recently named to the AHL's All-Star team.

Pirri, 22, was selected by the Blackhawks in the second round of the 2009 draft.
