Anthony Louis, forward, Miami Ohio (NCAA), drafted 6th round in 2013
Louis, a sophomore, and Miami Ohio face Providence in the NCAA tournament on Saturday. Miami Ohio defeated St. Cloud State 3-2 to win the NCHC tournament on Saturday. Louis had a goal and an assist in the semifinals. He has eight goals and 26 assists in 36 games this season.
Nick Mattson, defenseman, North Dakota (NCAA), drafted 6th round in 2010
Mattson, a senior, and Notre Dakota will open with Quinnipiac in the NCAA tournament on Friday. He has four goals, 16 assists, 34 blocked shots and is a plus-11 in 30 games this season.
Nick Schmaltz, forward, North Dakota (NCAA), drafted 1st round in 2014
Schmaltz, a freshman, will take part in his first NCAA tournament. He has five goals, 21 assists and is a plus-4 in 35 games this season.
Luke Johnson, forward, North Dakota (NCAA), drafted 5th round in 2013
Johnson, a sophomore, has eight goals, 13 assists and is a plus-8 in 39 games this season. He had eight goals and 21 points as a freshman.
John Hayden, forward, Yale (NCAA), drafted 3rd round in 2013
Hayden, a sophomore, and Yale will play Boston University in the NCAA tournament on Friday. Hayden has seven goals and 11 assists in 28 games this season.
Luc Snuggerud, defenseman, Nebraska Omaha (NCAA), drafted 5th round in 2014
Snuggerud, a freshman, and Nebraska Omaha will play Harvard in the NCAA tournament on Saturday. Snuggerud has two goals, 12 assists, 34 blocked shots and is a minus-2 in 36 games this season.
Chris Calnan, forward, Boston College (NCAA), drafted 3rd round in 2012
Calnan, a sophomore, and Boston College will play Denver in the NCAA tournament on Saturday. He has 11 goals and five assists in 36 games this season.
Stephen Johns, defenseman, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), drafted 2nd round in 2010
Johns, 22, scored two goals in the IceHogs’ 4-0 win over the Adirondack Flames on Saturday. He has three goals and five assists in his last six games. He has three goals, 13 assists and is a plus-20 in 38 games this season.
Trevor van Riemsdyk, defenseman, Rockford IceHogs (AHL, signed as a free agent in 2014
Van Riemsdyk, 23, had an assist and was a plus-2 in the IceHogs’ win on Saturday. He has played in five games for the IceHogs.
Ryan Hartman, forward, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), drafted 1st round in 2013
Hartman, 20, had a goal and two assists for the IceHogs on Saturday. He has 10 goals, 15 assists and is plus-5 in 56 games this season.
Alex Broadhurst, forward, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), drafted 7th round in 2011
Broadhurst, 22, played in his first game Sunday since breaking his arm on Nov. 26. He had one shot on goal and a penalty in the IceHogs’ 4-3 win over the Texas Stars.
Antti Raanta, goaltender, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), signed as a free agent in 2013
Raanta, 25, made 25 saves and recorded a shutout in the IceHogs’ 4-0 win over the Flames on Saturday. He is 3-0-1 with a .917 save percentage (99 saves on 108 shots) since being assigned to the IceHogs in February.
Mark McNeill, forward, Rockford IceHogs (NCAA), drafted 1st round in 2011
McNeill, 22, scored his 18th goal of the season on Sunday. He’s tied for the team lead in goals. He has 33 points and is a plus-9 in 50 games this season.
Garret Ross, forward, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), drafted 5th round in 2012
Ross, 22, leads the IceHogs with 38 points. He registered two assists and six shots on goal on Sunday to break a five-game pointless streak.
Anders Nilsson, goaltender, Ak Bars Kazan (KHL), acquired from Islanders in 2014
Nilsson, 25, is a major reason why Ak Bars has reached the conference finals in the KHL. He recorded three shutouts in the conference semifinals and had a .964 save percentage (132 saves on 137 shots) in five games. For the playoffs, he is 8-2 with a 1.32 goals-against average and .942 save percentage. Ak Bars plays next on Friday. The Blackhawks own Nilsson’s rights, but he is not under contract.
Ville Pokka, defenseman, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), acquired from Islanders in 2014
Pokka, 20, had two assists in the IceHogs’ win over the Stars on Sunday. He’s had a quiet month with three points in March. He has seven goals and 20 assists in 57 games this season.
Dennis Rasmussen, forward, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), signed as a free agent in 2014
Rasmussen, 24, had a goal and assist on Sunday. He has two goals in the last three games and has 10 goals and 11 assists in 60 games this season.
Spencer Abbott, forward, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), acquired from Maple Leafs in 2015
Abbott, 26, has been on a roll since joining the IceHogs. He has five goals and two assists in seven games with the IceHogs. He is an unrestricted free agent after the season.
Peter Regin, forward, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), acquired from Islanders in 2014
Regin, 28, had a seven-game points streak snapped on Saturday. He had two goals and six assists during the streak. He has eight goals, 24 assists and is a plus-3 in 57 games this season.
Mike Paliotta, defenseman, Vermont (NCAA), drafted 3rd round in 2011
Paliotta, a senior, had his college career ended in Vermont’s 4-1 to UMass Lowell in the Hockey East semifinals last week. He was recently named the conference’s top defenseman. He finished the season with nine goals, 27 assists and was a plus-15 in 41 games. He is currently negotiating an entry-level contract with the Blackhawks, according to his agent.
Tyler Motte, forward, Michigan (NCAA), drafted 4th round in 2013
Motte, a sophomore, and Michigan had their season ended with a 4-2 loss to Minnesota in the Big Ten championship on Saturday. He finished with nine goals and 22 assists in 35 games. He was tied for third on Michigan with 31 points.
Fredrik Olofsson, forward, Chicago Steel (USHL), drafted 4th round in 2014
Olofsson, 18, continues to pile up points. He had a goal and an assist in the Steel’s 4-3 loss to Youngstown on Sunday. He has 25 goals and 27 assists in 50 games this season. He’s tied for 11th in the league in points.
Andreas Soderberg, defenseman, Skelleftea J20 (SuperElit), drafted 5th round in 2014
Soderberg, 18, and Skelleftea have advanced to the quarterfinals in Sweden. He had one goal, six assists and was a plus-9 in 44 games in the regular season.
