NHL Studios' film revisits Blackhawks' championship season

Amid the Stanley Cup celebration at the United Center last month, the Chicago Blackhawks' Jonathan Toews and Niklas Hjalmarsson took a moment on the ice to reflect on what they had accomplished.

Toews said, “How did we get here? How did this happen?”

Hjalmarsson replied: “It’s unbelievable.”

NHL Studios and Cinedigm’s “Stanley Cup Champions 2015: Chicago Blackhawks” includes all the highlights and commentary one expects in a season-ending championship film. But what makes it especially interesting, especially for the diehard fans, will be those behind-the-scenes moments.

Toews and Hjalmarsson’s on-ice conversation was one. The interaction between Toews and Kimmo Timonen as Toews handed off the Stanley Cup was another. There are plenty more, including extended footage of the team's celebration on the ice and in the dressing room in the bonus features.

The film will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and digital on Tuesday. It also includes the Blackhawks’ 2013 Stanley Cup film.
