Viktor Svedberg returns to Blackhawks on one-year deal

The Chicago Blackhawks and defenseman Viktor Svedberg agreed to a one-year contract Wednesday.

Svedberg, 24, was a restricted free agent. He had three goals, 11 assists and was a plus-14 in 49 games for the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs last season and practiced with the Blackhawks throughout their Stanley Cup run. He signed with the Blackhawks as a free agent in 2013

Marcus Kruger and Joakim Nordstrom are the Blackhawks’ only remaining unsigned restricted free agents.
