Deng healthy enough to face Bucks on Tuesday

DEERFIELD, Ill. -- Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng will play Tuesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks after sitting out Saturday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves because of a sore groin.

Deng went through a full practice Monday afternoon and says he feels a lot better. He initially "tweaked" the groin injury Friday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"I came out of the game, I wasn't going to go (back) in anyway," Deng said. "So the next day we just wanted to see how would feel. And just decided that it was better to just sit down and rest it."

Deng was happy to see that second-year swingman Jimmy Butler took his place in the starting lineup and played all 48 minutes.

"It was really good," Deng said. "It's really good. We need that. Jimmy's a big part (of the bench). We got to get him comfortable out there and just getting him running with the starting unit and the second unit, just to try to get his rhythm and everything."

Rip Hamilton also went through all of practice Monday after sitting out (rest) Saturday's game. He will play Tuesday.
