And then there was one. After a 97-81 victory over the Boston Celtics on Thursday night, the Chicago Bulls can wrap up the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference with a winover the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. Or against the Magic on Sunday. Or the Knicks on Tuesday. Or the Nets on Wednesday.
Point is, the Bulls have all but locked up the East, needing just one more win. That leaves the Celtics and Miami Heat to battle it out on Sunday for the No. 2 spot.
With the East just about wrapped up, we turn our attention to the race for the NBA's top seed. The Bulls trail the San Antonio Spurs by 1 1/2 games. The Bulls have four games remaining while the Spurs have three.
