Cubs' wild-card roster has 10 pitchers, 15 position players

PITTSBURGH – The Chicago Cubs decided to keep 10 pitchers and 15 position players for the National League wild-card game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. The team announced the roster in a news release. If the Cubs advance to the division series, they can reset the roster.

Here are the 10 pitchers who made the one-game roster, with Jake Arrieta starting on Wednesday night. Neil Ramirez and Carl Edwards were left off:

Travis Wood, LHP

Pedro Strop, RHP

Lester and Hendricks are starters who will likely would be used only in an injury emergency or an extra-inning game.
