OAKLAND, Calif. -- By virtue of the White Sox's 7-2 defeat to the Oakland A's on Tuesday, the Minnesota Twins clinched their second consecutive AL Central title.
The White Sox have been officially eliminated just one week after playing what looked to be a key series against the Twins. The White Sox lost all three of those games, three more against the Tigers and the first two of their series at Oakland for an eight-game losing streak.
