Disappointment has hit St. Louis again this spring with another early playoff exit for the Blues. The story is familiar. The Blues have a roster capable of a long run, but then they run into a power from the Western Conference get knocked out. This time it was in six games at the hands of the Minnesota Wild.
If it hadn't happened so often, it would be perfectly acceptable. Now it's a bit of a trend. It will make for a challenging offseason for GM Doug Armstrong because the roster was built to win and it didn't. Again. There won't be any easy answers, but here are the priorities that need to be dealt with in St. Louis
