Three keys to the offseason for the Minnesota Wild

The level of disappointment for the Minnesota Wild after getting swept by the Chicago Blackhawks shows just how far this team came this season, going from a group on the verge of eliminating itself from playoff contention around the All-Star break to one that believed it could win it all.

Instead, in sweeping the Wild, the Blackhawks showed there’s still a gap between the annual Cup contender from Chicago and a Minnesota team still trying to get there.

Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher has done a fantastic job getting this far, and now comes the most difficult step of all: making it a championship roster.
