It was an incredible run. The Calgary Flames were the biggest feel-good story of the NHL season among teams, and it might not have been all that close. Coach Bob Hartley did an incredible job, and the players’ commitment to playing out the final second of every game led to great comebacks and a magical season.
Now, though, it’s over. Calgary fans can take a breath, and the challenge shifts to GM Brad Treliving, whose job it is to make sure this season wasn’t an aberration and was instead one on which the team can build.
