Three keys to the offseason: Dallas Stars

DALLAS -- It may not feel like it right now, but overall this season was a success for the Dallas Stars. If you had offered coach Lindy Ruff, before the season, a division title to go with pushing the veteran St. Louis Blues to seven games in the second round, he probably would have taken it.

Let’s not forget, the Stars missed the playoffs completely last season. They’re building something special in Dallas under GM Jim Nill, and here’s an early look at where Nill’s focus should be heading into the offseason:
