It’s another early playoff exit for the Washington Capitals. At least, earlier than the high aspirations that surrounded this team following a dominant regular season.
The Capitals looked poised for a postseason breakthrough, with a team that had very few weaknesses, and they still couldn’t get out of the second round. Even worse, they lost to the rival Pittsburgh Penguins.
