IRVING, Texas -- If you want to see the Dallas Cowboys in training camp this summer, clear out the month of August.
With the Cowboys set to open the preseason on Aug. 13 against the San Diego Chargers, the team is scheduled to report to Oxnard, California, for training camp on July 28. The first practice would be July 30.
As of now the Cowboys are scheduled to remain in Oxnard through Aug. 28 before their third preseason game. The Cowboys play the San Francisco 49ers on Aug. 23 and are scheduled to return to Oxnard for three days of practice before returning home to play the Minnesota Vikings on Aug. 29 at AT&T Stadium.
In the past the Cowboys have returned to Dallas after their second preseason game.
The Cowboys and St. Louis Rams are working to finalize plans to practice against each other in Oxnard after the first preseason game. The Rams play the Oakland Raiders on Aug. 14, so the teams could get together for practices starting on Aug. 16.
