IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys’ rookie pool has been set at $5,234,891 for their eight draft picks.
The Cowboys have roughly $12.8 million in cap room overall, but much of that space is designate for Greg Hardy’s per-game roster bonuses and will adjust pending the outcome of his appeal of the 10-game suspension.
From a cap perspective, the Cowboys’ draft picks should count about $1.4 million against the salary cap when the top 53 players are counted.
According to NFLPA figures, first-round pick Byron Jones’ maximum salary-cap figure allowed is $1,563,989, and he should receive a signing bonus of roughly $4.515 million on a four-year deal that will be fully guaranteed.
Here is a breakdown of each of the remaining draft picks' maximum allowable salary-cap figures:
Second round – Randy Gregory: $693,625
Third round – Chaz Green: $591,093
