Tony Romo has sty removed after game

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was sporting a bandage below his left eye to deal with a recurring sty.

Romo had a lance removed early in training camp that cost him one day of practice.

He played in five series of the Cowboys’ 28-14 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, completed five of eight passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns. After the game he had the sty lanced.

“I’m sure we’ll be back to an ophthalmologist again this week,” Romo said.

The Cowboys are off on Sunday and return to practice on Monday at AT&T Stadium.
