Dez Bryant considered one of the world's 50 fittest athletes

IRVING, Texas -- Dez Bryant spent some time after practice last week joking with a local TV cameraman about the difficulty he will have maintaining a six-pack as he gets older.

Right now, though, it's not an issue, which is why he was named one of Sports Illustrated's 50 fittest male athletes in the world. The list contained 11 NFL players.

The players were judged on strength, speed, endurance and agility. Decathlete Ashton Eaton, who owns the world record, was deemed the world's fittest athlete.

Bryant ranked 28th between American bobsledder Steve Langton and Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Houston's J.J. Watt (13th), Seattle's Kam Chancellor (14th), Buffalo's Marquise Goodwin (18th) and Washington's Vernon Davis (20th) were the only players ranked ahead of Bryant. Just so you know, there are 1,696 NFL players.

"That's pretty good," Bryant said of his ranking. "But it sounds like I have a little work to do."

Carolina's Cam Newton (32nd), Odell Beckham Jr. (34th), Russell Wilson (36th), New England's Chris Hogan (38th), Philadelphia's Connor Barwin (43rd) and New England's Rob Gronkowski (46th) were the other NFL players on the list.
