Mavs 123, 76ers 70: Record-setting rout

DALLAS -- Garbage time could have started after the first quarter of the Dallas Mavericks' 123-70 blowout of the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday.

Player of the game: Dirk Nowitzki was efficiently dominant, scoring 21 points in 21 minutes. Nowitzki was 7-of-8 from the floor and 6-of-7 from the free throw line.

Moment of the game: The first half was even worse than the Sixers thought. An official review during halftime changed a Chris Johnson 3-pointer to a 2. That made the Mavs' lead 44 points, really throwing a wrench into the Sixers' comeback hopes.

Stat of the night: The Mavs set a franchise record for largest margin of victory (53). The previous record was 50, set on Jan. 24, 2010, in a blowout of the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. The Mavs also set franchise records for biggest leads at the end of the first quarter (28) and first half (44).
