Mavs sign James to second 10-day deal

DALLAS -- The Mavericks announced that center Bernard James has signed a second 10-day contract.

The Mavs plan to sign James for the remainder of the season after this contract expires, owner Mark Cuban said this week.

James, who played for the Shanghai Sharks in China this season after being the Mavs' last preseason cut, has averaged 6.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in two games for Dallas this season.
