Baylor cracks the recruiting top 25

Our ESPN RecruitingNation team updated their national recruiting top 25, and there's a new member of the fold from the Big 12.

Oh, you sneaky, sneaky Baylor Bears.

Baylor added the nation's No. 5 receiver, Robbie Rhodes, last weekend, and that pickup moved BU into the top 25. It checked in at No. 21 on our rankings.

That's pretty big time. Anybody else remember the last time Baylor reeled in a top-25 recruiting class? I don't. Art Briles has stuck at Baylor while others have poked around to gauge his interest. He believes he can build something special, and this is more evidence that supports that idea. Want more? How's this?

Baylor now has 12 commits, with one (Rhodes) in the ESPN 150. Quarterback Chris Johnson, a Bryan, Texas, native, gives the Bears a second commit in the ESPN 300. Johnson is the nation's No. 3 dual-threat quarterback.

Texas was unchanged at No. 4, behind Michigan, Florida and Alabama.

Oklahoma was No. 12, unchanged from the last recruiting rankings.
