DALLAS -- Jerry Jones kept all options open without tipping his hand.
He said it was "unlikely" that the Cowboys would move up from No. 27. He indicated that it wasn't much more likely that the Cowboys would move down. And he downplayed the possibility of acquiring more picks by trading a player.
However, Jerry didn't rule out any of those possibilities. And everybody knows that Jerry will pick up the phone and listen when it rings on draft day.
He acknowledged that he's already fielded some phone calls from teams interested in players currently on the Cowboys' roster. He declined to mention which specific players teams had inquired about, but Martellus Bennett and Marcus Spears are pretty good guesses.
As far as moving up, Jerry's motivation depends purely on which players slide into the late teens. For example, if Texas safety Earl Thomas is available, you can bet Jerry will get in salesman mode.
