Josh Brent agrees to terms

The Cowboys agreed to terms with seventh-round supplemental pick in nose tackle Josh Brent out of Illinois. Brent agreed to a four-year deal. He will make a base salary of $320,000 this season.

The Cowboys have high hopes for Brent who is competing for a backup nose tackle spot with Junior Siavii. Brent, according to several scouts, has an excellent body and has shown some power when getting to the pass rusher. However, his off the field issues, kicked off the team for grades and had a DUI causes some concern with several teams.

But Brent has a good personality and works hard.

By selecting Brent in the supplemental draft, the Cowboys lose a seventh-round pick in next year's NFL regular player draft.
