Terence Newman is feeling better

IRVING -- Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman (ribs) told coach Wade Phillips and the medical staff this morning he's feeling better and he should practice a little bit today.

Newman is bothered by a sore rib, suffered in Monday's game vs. the New York Giants. The big issue for Newman is dealing with the pain during the course of the game.

" ... said he felt better [and] we’ll see how he’ll practices," Phillips said prior to Friday's session.

*Bradie James (knee) has been limited some by his health, but it appears he's also feeling good about his status.

*Montrae Holland (groin), Jason Hatcher (groin), Kyle Kosier (ankle), Tony Romo (collarbone) did not practice. Kosier, as been the case the last two days, is working with associate athletic trainer Britt Brown in rehab on the sidelines.

*Dez Bryant (ankle) fielded punts and kick returns and seems fine.
