McShay's mock: Prince Amukamara to Boys

ESPN draft gurus Mel Kiper and Todd McShay don't always agree, but they're on the same page with their projections of who the Cowboys will get with the ninth overall pick.

As is the case with Kiper, McShay's current mock draft has Nebraska cornerback Prince Amukamara slipping to the Cowboys.

McShay's comment:

Defenses field a lot of nickel packages in today's NFL and the Cowboys need help at corner. Mike Jenkins took a big step backward in 2010, Terence Newman isn't getting any younger and Orlando Scandrick is a No. 3 corner at best. Amukamara is fluid, has great instincts and anticipation and plays the ball well and is even versatile enough to help out at safety if needed.

Kiper and McShay also agree that Amukamara would be good value for the Cowboys. He's No. 6 on Kiper's Big Board and fifth on Scouts Inc.'s overall rankings.
