Kevin Ogletree helped himself Sunday

SAN ANTONIO -- In his quest to fill the No. 3 wide receiver role, Kevin Ogletree only helped himself in Sunday’s scrimmage.

Ogletree caught four passes – three from Tony Romo and one from Jon Kitna. The three receptions from Romo came in a two-minute drill that ended with Jason Witten catching a touchdown pass.

Ogletree showed good awareness on one catch, quickly turning up field and getting out of bounds to stop the clock. He also had a long gain to the defense’s 4 on a third-down call.

“He has a good feel for playing,” coach Jason Garrett said “He has a good feel for route running. He has a good feel for beating defenders in one-on-one situations. I think he has a good feel as a player in general. I think those situations were good illustrations of that. We’ll go back and watch the tape and see specifically how he did, but he showed up a little bit.”
