Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin might not participate in Thursday's practice with the San Diego Chargers due to a tight hamstring, according to a source.

Team trainers will check with Austin regarding his health Thursday morning at Valley Ranch.

Austin coud be held out of practice as a precaution more than anything else, but it raises questions about his availability for Sunday's second preseason game against the Chargers.

Should Austin miss the scrimmage, Kevin Ogletree could join Dez Bryant among the starters.
