Mat McBriar splits punt reps during practice

IRVING, Texas – Punter Mat McBriar, who is battling a nerve condition in his left leg and foot, split repetitions during Wednesday’s practice.

McBriar alternated with Chris Jones, a punter who was re-signed to the practice squad after being released Tuesday in an administrative move. McBriar, who sat out the second half of Sunday’s loss, wore a bulky brace on his lower left leg and continued to punt on a side field after the special teams portion of practice ended.

Running back Felix Jones was not on the practice field. He hasn’t practiced or played since suffering a high ankle sprain in the Oct. 16 loss to the Patriots.

Right guard Kyle Kosier, who has a partially torn plantar fascia in his left foot, participated in pre-practice drills with the starting offensive line but was not in pads.

Inside linebacker Sean Lee (dislocated wrist) and cornerback Mike Jenkins (strained hamstring) did not practice. Lee is getting a second opinion and could undergo potentially season-ending surgery. Jenkins is expected to miss three to four weeks.
