IRVING -- Stephen Bowen played three seasons with Felix Jones, but none with DeMarco Murray.
Yet, Bowen, the former Cowboys defensive end, now with the Washington Redskins, was asked to compare the two running backs.
"I can't say he looks better than Felix," Bowen said of Murray on a Wednesday morning conference call with reporters. "I think they're two different types of runners. [Murray is] more of a straight down hill runner to me and Felix is more of a bounce really fast. I think they're both good in what they do."
In the last four games, Murray has rushed for 601 yards and appears to have taken over the starting job from Jones, who could return this week from a high-ankle sprain that's cost him the last four games.
"I think he's a good runner," Bowen said of Murray. "He has great vision, he runs really hard and [you] really can't ask more of somebody of what he's doing. He's steppped in there and he's done way more than what a rookie should be doing. I tip my hat to him, he's having a good season."
