IRVING, Texas -- A source confirmed to ESPNDallas the Dallas Cowboys plan on placing nose tackle Josh Brent on the non-football injury list Tuesday, reducing their roster to 52 players.
Brent is out on bail after he was charged with intoxication manslaughter in the one-car accident that killed his close friend, Cowboys practice squad outside linebacker Jerry Brown.
Brent, along with the rest of his Cowboys teammates, attended a memorial service for Brown at a Dallas-area church Tuesday. Brent attended the service at the request of Brown's mother, Stacey Jackson.
With this roster move, the Cowboys are expected to sign a veteran defensive lineman.
