DeMarcus Ware ready for move to defensive end

One of the big stories regarding the Cowboys' switch from a 3-4 defense to a 4-3 is the position changes it means for several players.

Outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware will move to defensive end in Monte Kiffin's defense.

Thursday, during an interview with the NFL Network, Ware said he would have no problems making the transition.

"In college I played the 4-3," said Ware, who played at Troy. "It's usually just being aggressive (in) getting to the quarterback, stopping the run from a defensive end standpoint. But I've been playing the 3-4 for eight years, so I have gotten comfortable with that."

Ware, who weighs 254 pounds, said he wouldn't have to put on extra weight to play defensive end.

"So now it's like, where I'm I going to fit again?" he said. "Can I play defensive end? Once you put the pads on and you put your hand down in the dirt, you’re going to (get) comfortable and be able to play."
