IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys could have another new starter to the defensive line for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.

With end George Selvie dealing with the effects of a concussion, Kyle Wilber could take over at the spot. He would be the third different starter on an injury-ravaged defensive line. Selvie is playing because of the knee issues of Anthony Spencer; Nick Hayden is in at defensive tackle because Jay Ratliff is on the physically unable to perform list; and if Selvie cannot meet the NFL concussion protocol, the Cowboys will have to start Wilber in his place.

"I'm ready enough to play," Wilber said. "If George is not ready to play, me and Edgar [Jones] will play and step it up and help our team win."

Wilber has played well this season in a backup role. A 2012 fourth-round pick as an outside linebacker, he didn't get much playing time at first. When the Cowboys changed schemes, from 3-4 to a 4-3, Wilber moved to defensive end. He gained weight to deal with tackles head-on, but realized he also needed to use his pass-rush skills more than becoming a player who uses just his power to reach the quarterback.

This season, Wilber has one sack and five quarterback pressures.

"It's becoming a lot more comfortable to me," Wilber said. He said he's getting help from DeMarcus Ware, Jason Hatcher -- "any help I can get, I'll take.

"[Defensive line] coach [Rod] Marinelli said it to me best, 'Just cut loose. Stop being tight. Stop thinking so much. Just cut yourself loose, go play for all and have fun.' I thought I was thinking to much."
