IRVING, Texas -- Caesar Rayford was re-signed to the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad after he cleared waivers on Wednesday.
The Cowboys cut Rayford, a defensive end, on Tuesday to make room for defensive tackle Corey Irvin. In seven games Rayford, who was acquired in a trade from the Indianapolis Colts in September, had six tackles.
Because he was on the roster for more than five weeks, the Cowboys owe the Colts their seventh-round pick in 2015. The Cowboys have two defensive ends on their practice squad with Rayford and Hall Davis.
