Mark Cuban got off pretty light with the Mavericks' championship parade.
The festivities cost $340,947, according to the city of Dallas. Cuban will make good on his promise to pay the tab, which he acknowledges is a lot less than he anticipated.
"I got off cheap," Cuban said during an appearance Thursday on ESPN 103.3's Galloway and Company.
Cuban attributes the relatively low price of the parade to the courtesy and class shown by Mavericks fans.
"Dallas fans were phenomenal," Cuban said. "It's like they picked up after themselves. An officer told me there was only one arrest. That's unheard of.
"This will go down in history. When someone points to what a city should be like when it celebrates a win for any professional sports team, Dallas will always be the poster child and we should all be proud of that."
